On October 4th, 2018, Leaders in Energy (LE), in partnership with Resilient Virginia, held its “Utilities of the Future Forum” at the US Navy Memorial in Washington DC. The event had over 80 attendees and was an exciting opportunity to look at recent developments in the role of utilities and future of energy provision and new changes.

2017 Resilient Virginia Conference Delivers on its Promise to Connect Communities, Businesses, and Educators for Resiliency Solutions
For the second year, our Resilient Virginia Conference was a great success, bringing together state, local, and national leaders to share know-how and inspire further efforts toward local resiliency actions. Celebrate preparedness during PrepareAthon on August 26 — a free community festival where you will learn how to be more resilient and protect your family during an emergency.
Hear what Washington DC is doing as one of the designated “100 Resilient Cities,” to become more climate resilient. Global speaker and author of “The Restoration Economy,” Storm Cunningham, will highlight opportunities for businesses, communities, and investors. One program at the University of the District of Columbia is developing urban agriculture and food hubs in DC as a climate resiliency and economic development strategy.
PrepareAthon 2016 took place August 27, 2016, and offered participants activities and information focused on emergency preparedness; sustainable lifestyle options such as energy saving homes,
