This resource explains the process of assessing the vulnerability of natural assets. There are different approaches for assessing hazard risks due to altered natural systems. Included in this document is how to integrate equity and environmental justice into vulnerability assessments. Options for investigation, prioritization and planning, and action are expanded on as well.

There are resources for implementing nature-based solutions, getting funding and financing mechanisms, incentives for developers, and the support federal disaster programs that can support nature-based solutions.
