Resilience MetricsThe information, tools, and resources offered on the Resilience Metrics website address preparedness, adaptation, and resilience-building for a changing climate. For users unsure where to begin, the website offers diagnostic questions to determine an entry point.

The Bounding and Assessing Context section helps browsers define and bound an issue or problem in order to clarify the scope of their adaptation effort.

The Visioning Success section is about how to gauge success in adaptation efforts, which requires knowing what “success” means to the browser and stakeholders and to all those involved in the adaptation efforts.

The Exploring and Identifying Indicators section includes common questions from adaptation practitioners, and uses them as an example for understanding the concrete interests of decision-makers and stakeholders.

The Selecting Indicators and Identifying Metrics section follows the previous section and guides the process of making the strategic—and sometimes difficult—decision of which indicators to choose for ongoing tracking.

The Monitoring Indicators and Metrics section explains how to design and implement a reliable, efficient monitoring process that optimizes both human and financial resources.

The Using Indicators & Metrics section shows decision-makers how to determine what works and what doesn’t, so they can make the adjustments needed to move closer to their vision. Included in this toolkit are descriptions and examples of how best to use indicators and metrics.
