Resilient Cities Network

The Resilient Cities Network (R-Cities) engages city leaders, communities, and the private sector to enable transformational change in cities. It joins the resilience officers from the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities program (100RC) and focuses on the gap in the market that prevents cities from completing transformational projects, typically because of a lack of funding.

The Rockefeller Foundation and other funding partners work with R-Cities to support cities and their CROs to future-proof communities. Member cities are represented by their CROs, who participate in the governance of the network. The projects prioritized in the network aim to improve the lives of city dwellers, with more flexibility to cater to the member cities’ needs.

The ultimate goal of the network is to have the member cities become self-sustainable. The Resilient Cities Network relies on partnerships for helping cities deliver benefits to multiple sectors, extending its funding and support to international communities as well. This resource provides examples of how the network has supported R-Cities’ projects responding to climate change.
