How Corporations are Managing Risk, Resiliency and Sustainability ReportGreenBiz Group, in collaboration with NRG Energy, conducted research to gain a greater understanding of key plans and actions by businesses to address climate change. How Corporations are Managing Risk, Resiliency and Sustainability Report expands on the new reporting standards from CDP and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) that are gaining traction as investors and other stakeholders seek greater corporate transparency.

The report shares its findings about the intersection of resiliency and sustainability in the business world and how businesses address it. Results from a survey on the reasons reported for conducting a climate-related scenario planning, and reasons why not are included in the report.

The report also talks about the Science-Based Targets initiative, a multi-stakeholder initiative established to define and promote best practices in setting targets to reduce GHG emissions. Graphs in the report show how many organizations’ have science-based targets and and what sustainability goals are a priority. Survey respondents were asked what types of consultants assist with their sustainability programs, and what their preferred choice was for energy efficiency projects.

The report also includes findings from surveys asking what qualities large organizations seek in ESCOs, consultants, or other service providers.
