Restore Your EconomyRestoreYourEconomy.org provides disaster preparedness, post-disaster economic recovery, and disaster resiliency resources, tools, and event announcements to educate communities, businesses, and decision makers.

Restore Your Economy’s Economic Development Role In Disaster Recovery section illustrates both the traditional role of economic development professionals and their additional responsibilities in the event of a disaster as well as what they should be doing to ensure their business community is better prepared.

Their Phases of Disaster page explains the phases of disaster: prevention, preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. Provided with descriptions of these phases are examples of regions that have incorporated disaster preparation and recovery.

This website includes a page directing browsers to the volunteer services of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). There is a page with links to articles on business resilience, community resilience, economic recovery planning, economic recovery assessment, and other relevant topics.

The website provides information on the Economic Development Administration (EDA)’s Rescue Plan Act Funding Program, specifically what it provides and how to apply for it.

Visitors can also watch archived webinars held by RestoreYourEconomy or join upcoming ones. The webinars focus on community and business practices for preparing for disaster.
